![]() It has a 27% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. ![]() The critics didn't really like this film though. I guess people love these films as it was very popular. I can't blame Colin Firth's character for being understandably exasperated by her. I guess Bridget Jones is supposed to be the awkward yet relatable girl, but she seems too much. And in jail, she gives the other inmates relationship advice and teaches them how to sing and dance to Madonna's "Like a Virgin." Did that really happen, or did someone mess around with this film's Wikipedia page? Because that sounds so dumb. ![]() And then there are a series of mishaps, including Bridget Jones being sent to a Thai prison after accidentally coming into possession of drugs. Then enters Hugh Grant's Daniel Cleaver to make some kind of love triangle. However, her own insecurities cause their relationship to fall apart. In this installment, Bridget Jones is in a happy relationship with Colin Firth's Mark Darcy. From what I read on Wikipedia, this is the second film in the series. I haven't seen any of the Bridget Jones movies, and I doubt I will ever care to watch one. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason is a romantic comedy starring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant.
